I soooooo love the cover of Cecelia´s new book. It looks so beautfiul. And I have to touch the book everyday. I so can´t wait to finish my Sophie Kinsella book to start reading "A place called here". But of course I already had a closer look at the book, hihi, I just couldn´t resist. This time she dedicated it to her father. And she´s written something about missing people on the second page. Well, it´s not exactly page two, but it´s the second real page in the book. It´s written before the actual story starts. And there´s also something in a different language that I don´t know yet what it means. I think it might be gaelic, but it might as well be another language. I´ll try to find out about that.

AHA! I did a bit of research n thos gaelic words....look t this site here: freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jkmacmul/namemeanings-coatofarms/mottoes_A.htmlIt's a family mottoe for the traditional AHERN family and means: "I rise through difficulties" - Per ardua surgo. wow, that's really an interesting page as I see now hahahaha. BUt there's unfortunately not "corr" hahaha. But at least we have AHERN! ;D OH GOSH! I just read what the book is actually about! ...no I didn't when I was at the store yesterday...i just saw it and grabbed it hahahahaha. WOW! Sounds thrilling! hee hee hee! Swanny are you sure you'll be able to wait until CHRISTMAS?

Oh, Caro, I just wanted to post the same. I also found out about this family motto. While I was doing this research I also found out that this very sentence has the same meaning in other countries, too. So, it seems that it´s not only a gealic motto. I found out about this part of Brasil, which is called Bahia and they have this sentence in their coat of arms. You can have a look here, the site´s in Portuguese, you can see the pic near the end of the page. In Portuguese it´s called "Brasão de Armas": pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/BahiaOk, so that was a small excursion, that doesn´t really have to do with the actual thread, but I think it doesn´t matter, hihi. A bit of cultural input is always good.

I finished my last Sophie Kinsella book the other day. Now I´m desperately waiting for her to release her 5th Shopaholic book, because I so want this story to be continued. The end of the last shopaholic book was so sweet and it also pointed out what´s gonna happen in the next book and it made me all excited about it. But now I have the chance to finally read Cecelia´s book. I started to read it last night, but as I was really tired I quickly fell asleep, so I didn´t get that far. But, far enough to be hooked again by her writing. I gave "PS, I love you" to one of my colleagues from work (in German, though) and I really hope that she´ll like it. Maybe I can turn her into a Cecelia fan. I´m not so sure about this, because she normally prefers thrillers and stuff like that, so I´m really curious if she´ll like it.

Keep us posted and let us know what she says. I started to read it last night, but as I was really tired I quickly fell asleep, so I didn´t get that far. I know that feeling oh so well!! I keep falling asleep after just a few pages of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and it's really interesting too! It's just that I am so tired.

I guess teh falling-asleep thing is just that we're way tooooooooooooooo busy so we're way toooooo sleepy in the evenings already! hihihihihi. (didn't we have a topic where we talked about that nobody could fall asleep?hahahahahaa ;D) but anyway, LATELY believe me or not, NOW that I wanna stay awake and READ because the book is sooooo interesting WHAT'S THE RESULT? Only after three or maximum 4 pages i'm so tired that I quickly put it away and fall asleep immediately! hahaha. WHICH is btw not THAT bad, too, because this way you don't finish a book in one night! I mean, just imagin NOBODY would become tired while reading at night, we wouldn't sleep at all anymore aaaaaaand our books would be finished pretty quickly! HA! Though I think it's still good that we at least READ and not watch too much TV, which is, if you ask me, mainly ahm....well...it has a lot of stuff in its programme where I thing: am I stupid or wha? hahhahahaa. So I'd rather read and fall asleep hahahahaha. ;D Btw, Steve? What is it that you read at the moment actually? And Bine are you still on with your shopaholic? ;D hihihihihi.

You don't always have to know who you are. You don't have to havethe big picture, or know where you're heading. Someties it's enough just to know whatyou're going to do next."

How are you getting on with " A Place called here" girls? I am half way through it now. So I expect to be able for a total chat about the book soon. I have to admit, at first I was like: "What the HECK is THIS?!" For about 20 pages I had no clue what to think, what was going on, whether to like it at all. Stupid little me hadn´t read the back (summary) of the book before or else I would have known what this was about. Once I finally figured out, I began to really love it again and I cant stop reading. It sure is VERY different to all that Cecelia has written so far but it is such a page turner! I will let you know as soon as I finished reading!
